About this roleWe are recruiting for a
Project Manager/Estimator to join our
Commercial, Institutional, and Residential (CIR) Project Delivery group in Victoria focused on projects across the island.
The
Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for leading all aspects of the job. This includes estimating, project planning, labour management, procurement, billing, communications, and wrap up of each project.
Your responsibilities- Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities
- Estimate projects and submit tenders
- Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
- Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
- Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour
- Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed
- Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations
- Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges
- Review the project at completion with the supervisor and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges
Your experience and skills- Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate
- 3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating
- Demonstrated experience completing multiple projects from start-up to close out
- Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid (Accubid Pro and Change Order) an asset
- Strong computer proficiency with MS Office, Procore, AutoCAD, Teams, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to understand customer's needs
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Strong communication, and team collaboration skills
