Full Job Description
Versar is seeking a full-time Project Manager (PM) to support physical Electronic Security System (ESS) installation projects nationwide in support of the United States Marshals Service (USMS). The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to work independently with some oversite. Additionally, the candidate must have experience with the performance and supervision of tasks related to electronic security systems (i.e., Access Control, CCTV, Video Management, Intrusion Detection, Intercoms etc.), and in managing the performance of projects, including people, schedule, scope, quality control, and budget. Further, the candidate will have experience working with other trades, i.e., construction, IT, and client stakeholders. The PM will be the senior subject matter expert and monitor, control and report status on cost, schedule and performance. What You'll Do: • Provide overall management of multiple projects mainly on customer sites with some availability for remote work. Extensive travel will be required around the project schedules. • Meet or exceed client project execution requirements through effective allocation of resources, and by ensuring high quality work, following budget and schedule parameters. • Manage internal resources and subcontractors. This includes, but is not limited to, verifying quality of installation and deliverables, evaluating percent complete for subcontracted tasks, evaluating equipment and materials used to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and standards, validating invoices for payment, negotiating costs, and managing scope change. • Ensure contractual compliance with all installation activities, deliverables, and schedule. • Manage and document inventory of all equipment and material purchased for the project and/or shipped to the project site for installation. • Ensure internal project management procedures are followed, including project revenue forecasting and estimate at completion. • Ensure all projects are carried out safely in accordance with Versar's safety requirements. • Meet with and/or report weekly to internal and external stakeholder entities. What You'll Bring: • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of verifiable project management experience. • Proficiency with MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Project. • Professional experience in the systems administration field with three years of overall experience in Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems. • Certifications, or have the capability to obtain certifications, in Hirsch, Bosch BVMS, and Bosch IDS, and experience with Commend, Aiphone, Inovonics, and networks. • Prior experience as a project manager for ESS projects with a full understanding of managing clients, financials, vendor relationships, subcontractors, and project level staff. • Public Trust clearance requirements. • US Citizenship required. Preferred Requirements: • Minimum five (5) years of experience with electronic security systems, specifically hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems and Video Management Systems.
