OverviewMSA is excited to announce an opportunity for a Project Manager Engineering at our Cedar Rapids, IA office. This position is on our Public Works Service line and works closely with a wide variety of Iowa municipal clients as a project manager for civil engineering projects. Projects may range from roads, utilites, water/sewer, site development, wastewater, and more.
Flexible working arrangements are available for this position and it also is Flex Time eligible. Flex Time is a benefit for salaried staff that recognizes when you work over 40-hours in a work week and anything over 40-hours in a week converts to future time off that you can use.
Your mission:
- Client relations including attendance at client meetings and interaction with existing and new clients
- Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
- Design of public works infrastructure projects
- Assist with mentoring junior engineering staff
- Preparation of plans, details, specifications, and bidding documents
- Preparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
- Administration of construction on public works infrastructure projects
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related) required
- 5+ years of prior experience within the Public Works market serving multiple clients required
- PE license strongly preferred
- Experience in managing multiple projects and client needs required
- Extensive knowledge of regulations and requirements within Iowa preferred
- Experience with funding and grants available to municipalities preferred

The salary for this position ranges from $88,871 to $142,194 per year commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
