Job Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and leading projects with achieving financial, delivery, and customer satisfaction objectives across all phases of the project. This role will support both production and design and development projects with an emphasis on both short-term and long-term strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Required Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of demonstrated knowledge, education, and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering, Program/Project Management, Government Contract Administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to plan, execute, monitor, and control programs to achieve financial, delivery, schedule, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Manage changes to scope, cost, schedule, resources, and program performance using established project management processes.
  • Coordinate priorities and balance short-term execution requirements with long-term program and business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and cultivate a collaborative, team-based culture through effective integrated product teams.
  • Ability to clearly communicate program status, risks, issues, and recommendations to executives, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Establish effective working relationships with internal and external customers and balance competing priorities and requirements.
  • Analyze complex requirements, identify issues, facilitate resolution, and develop practical win-win solutions.
  • Mediate conflicts and facilitate productive meetings and issue-resolution sessions.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate program risks.
  • Prioritize competing demands, coordinate resources, maintain documentation, and meet deadlines.
  • Document lessons learned, participate in performance reviews, and identify opportunities to improve program execution.
  • Contribute to corporate business development activities and support strategic customer initiatives.


Qualifications

Preferred Education and Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience supporting both production and design/development programs.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, engineering, or government-contract environment.
  • Experience managing programs involving multiple customers, stakeholders, or functional organizations.
  • Experience with corporate program management processes, performance reviews, risk management, and lessons-learned activities.
  • Experience supporting business development activities.
  • Experience with production and quality metrics and performance reporting.
  • Experience with earned value management and program financial performance.
