Description
We are seeking a
full-time Project Manager at the
James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in
Tampa, FL. This position supports a
36-month onsite assignment.
The Project Manager will serve as the
onsite lead providing project management support in cooperation with VA staff, architects, engineers, and construction contractors.
Requirements
- Manage all phases of assigned construction projects.
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Provide expert-level project and/or construction management consultation.
- Support Government inspection and quality assurance teams.
- Track project schedules; identify delays and implement corrective actions.
- Review and manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and inspection records.
- Use construction management software for scheduling, tracking, reporting, and documentation.
Job Specific RequirementsEducation:- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited university
- Substitution: 15 years of directly related construction project management experience in lieu of degree
Professional Experience:- Minimum 7 years managing facility construction projects
- Experience in supervision of engineering, design, and construction teams
- Schedule control and progress tracking
- Cost management and budgeting
- Full project lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of construction documents and coordination
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Functional Responsibility:- Manage technical quality, schedule, and cost across projects
- Provide expert consultation across technical and personnel matters
- Maintain oversight through daily reports, inspections, and stakeholder engagement
Educational Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM, PE, RA) are a plus
Communication, Language, and Software Skills- Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
