Key ResponsibilitiesPosition SummaryThe Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and execute data center infrastructure projects involving modular data centers, solid-state transformers, air handling units and associated cooling systems, rolling backup units, UPS and switchgear systems, and related power and facility infrastructure.
This role will coordinate engineering, procurement, suppliers, contractors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects meet technical requirements, cost objectives, quality standards, and delivery schedules. The Project Manager will also identify and mitigate project risks while supporting successful equipment integration, installation, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate data center infrastructure projects from initial technical requirements and design reviews through procurement, equipment delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
- Analyze customer requirements, engineering specifications, equipment requirements, bills of materials (BOMs), technical drawings, project documentation, and site conditions to define project scope and execution requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities among engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, suppliers, contractors, customers, and other project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate technical and commercial solutions for modular data centers, solid-state transformers, air handling units and associated cooling systems, rolling backup units, UPS and switchgear systems, and related power and facility infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, equipment delivery plans, procurement milestones, budgets, cost forecasts, and project status reports to support successful and timely project execution.
- Manage supplier and contractor activities, including technical proposal evaluations, supplier qualifications, quotation analysis, equipment lead times, delivery schedules, technical submittals, and overall project performance.
- Perform cost and total cost of ownership analyses for equipment, materials, engineering changes, logistics, and alternative technical solutions to support project cost and performance objectives.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, technical documentation, equipment layouts, BOMs, and supplier proposals to identify technical, commercial, schedule, quality, and supply chain risks.
- Identify project risks and coordinate corrective and mitigation actions related to technical requirements, equipment availability, supplier performance, project cost, quality, and schedule.
- Coordinate technical reviews and project meetings with customers, engineering teams, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support project execution.
- Support equipment integration, installation, testing, commissioning coordination, and project turnover activities for mission-critical data center infrastructure.
- Monitor project performance against technical requirements, budgets, schedules, quality objectives, and contractual commitments.
- Prepare and communicate project status, performance, risk, cost, and schedule updates to management, customers, and key stakeholders.
- Apply engineering, project management, supply chain, cost analysis, and process improvement principles to improve project execution, equipment delivery, operational efficiency, and overall project cost.
Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in Supply Chain Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a closely related field.
- Relevant professional experience in engineering, technical project management, procurement, supply chain, or project execution.
- Experience supporting projects involving data centers, mission-critical infrastructure, semiconductor, manufacturing, energy, or other highly engineered infrastructure environments.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects involving engineering, procurement, suppliers, contractors, manufacturing, logistics, and customers.
- Experience with project scheduling, equipment procurement or delivery, supplier or contractor management, and project execution.
- Experience evaluating technical and commercial solutions, analyzing costs, and supporting project or equipment decisions.
- Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, equipment layouts, BOMs, supplier proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of project risk management, cost control, schedule management, and quality requirements.
Pay RangeUSD $130,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with data center or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Experience with data center power distribution systems, UPS, switchgear, solid-state transformers, or related electrical infrastructure.
- Experience with data center cooling systems, air handling units, liquid cooling, or related thermal infrastructure.
- Experience with modular data centers or prefabricated/modular infrastructure.
- Experience managing suppliers, contractors, and equipment manufacturers in complex project environments.
