DescriptionRole Overview:
A Project Manger Lead will continue as a working Project Manger (described below) on limited OEM and/or Revamp projects but will also support and assist designated Project Managers to navigate PM processes, project concerns and general day to day, project execution activities. The number of projects that the PM Lead will be responsible for will be reduced to provide sufficient time for the following additional responsibilities to their team:
• Support and guide day-to-day activities, and act as first line of contact for encountered issues
• Mentor where needed
• Assist less experienced PMs with schedule adherence and timeless of activities
• Provide direction to explain departmental divisions, who does what, who to see for...
• Provide feedback and performance feedback to assigned Project Managers
• Assist Director with long-term philosophy and operating standards for Project Management group
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for handling multiple, often fast-track equipment rebuild/repair/modification projects in the field of environmental air pollution control for customers in diverse industries across North America and Asia. The PM performs project & process engineering, generates & maintains the schedule, forecasts & maintains all costs & scope changes. Manages all communication with the Customer. The PM develops mechanical scopes of work and requisitions mechanical equipment and subcontractors. Works closely with the Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, Manufacturing, Field Operations and Service departments to ensure successful project completion. Some travel is required, potentially overseas.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in appropriate subject (e.g. Engineering, Construction Management)
- Two years of experience as Project Manager of Industrial Equipment Manufacturing
- Position related experience in similar industry strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Ability to understand and maintain project schedules
- Good time management skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good technical writing skills
- Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers
- Able to work well independently and in a team environment
- Able to technically define problems and propose solutions
- Adaptable to change in a learning environment
- Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Invoicing according to Contract Terms.
- Basic knowledge of Controls Engineering is a plus.

- Basic PLC control principles
- Basic knowledge of sheet metal & structural fabrication.
- Basic understanding of heavy equipment installation procedures.
- Travel - up to 25%
