Full Job Description
Description

  • Description
Tapani is growing across the Pacific Northwest, and we are looking for experienced Project Managers with backgrounds in water/wastewater, structural concrete, buildings, civil infrastructure, and collaborative delivery.
Our work spans water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, structural concrete, complete building and industrial construction, and major civil infrastructure, with continued growth in GC/CM, CM/GC, Design-Build, and other collaborative delivery methods across those markets.
This role is for a Project Manager who thrives on complex work, likes being deep in the details, and wants to be part of the decisions that shape how the job gets built. Our Project Managers work directly with field leadership and crews, owners, engineers, trade partners, and internal resources to keep the work coordinated and deliver successful projects as one team.
    Responsibilities
The Project Manager leads projects from early planning through construction and closeout, connecting early decisions with how the work is ultimately delivered.
    • Project Leadership: Lead the project team with responsibility for cost, schedule, quality, safety, and overall performance.
    • Planning + Constructability: Work with field leadership on sequencing, logistics, means and methods, and practical plans for the work.
    • Preconstruction + Collaborative Delivery: Draw on Tapani's preconstruction and estimating resources while working with owners, designers, and project partners to inform cost, constructability, procurement, schedule, and key project decisions.
    • Cost + Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecasting, project financials, and change.
    • Scheduling + Procurement: Develop and maintain schedules, procurement plans, work plans, and key milestones.
    • Field Execution: Stay connected with field leadership and crews throughout construction so decisions, information, materials, and resources support the work.
    • Subcontractors + Project Partners: Manage scope development, buyout, procurement, subcontractor performance, and coordination with owners, designers, and suppliers.
    • Team Leadership: Develop Project Engineers and other team members while supporting Tapani standards for safety, quality, accountability, and Strong Teams and Successful Projects.

    What We're Looking For
We are looking for experienced construction Project Managers who knows the work, understand what drives it in the field, and can stay connected to the details while leading the whole project.
    Relevant backgrounds may include:
    • Commercial, industrial, education, government, or other building construction
    • Water and wastewater treatment, pump stations, and process systems
    • Structural and cast-in-place concrete
    • Heavy civil, site development, and utility infrastructure
    • Dams, hydraulic structures, hatcheries, or environmental infrastructure
    • Projects with significant self-perform scopes or multiple construction disciplines

Experience with GC/CM under Washington RCW 39.10, CM/GC in Oregon, Progressive Design-Build, Design-Build, or other collaborative delivery methods is especially valuable.
You should also bring experience in project planning and constructability; cost, schedule, procurement, and forecasting; working directly with field leadership; coordinating with owners and design teams; and leading project teams with sound judgment and follow-through. Previous Project Management or comparable field leadership experience is required.
