Project Manager - Commercial Construction
This position requires strong construction management experience, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and company leadership.
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and overall project execution plans.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and project stakeholders.
- Work closely with Superintendents to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and according to schedule.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
- Monitor project costs, commitments, change orders, and budget performance.
- Conduct and participate in project meetings with clients, subcontractors, architects, consultants, and internal teams.
- Identify project risks and proactively resolve scheduling, coordination, quality, and construction issues.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with clients and company leadership regarding project status, challenges, and required decisions.
- Ensure subcontractors perform according to contractual requirements, project specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections, permitting requirements, punch lists, and project closeout.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Support a professional, collaborative, and accountable jobsite environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in commercial construction.
- Vast experience with retail construction, interior build-outs, or high-end commercial projects strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong computer and construction technology skills; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. Spanish communication skills are essential for this position due to regular interaction with Spanish-speaking field personnel, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
