About the Role:CBRE is seeking a motivated and results-driven Project Manager to support the delivery of construction and renovation projects from initiation through closeout on an account in Fremont, CA. This role requires solid technical fundamentals, strong client service skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with general oversight and guidance from senior project leadership.
The Project Manager supports the development of budgets and schedules, coordinates contractors and vendors, and helps ensure projects meet client expectations for quality, cost, and timing. The ideal candidate has a general contractor (GC) background and/or MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) experience, is a self-starter, and thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment. Experience supporting semiconductor or other high-tech manufacturing clients is a plus.
What You'll Do: - Support the development of project estimates, proposals, and schedules, and assist in presenting them to clients.
- Assist with subcontractor procurement, including competitive bidding, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Monitor subcontractor and vendor performance to ensure adherence to project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage project financials, including billing, budget tracking, change orders, and cost reconciliation, with support from senior team members as needed.
- Create and maintain project schedules, tracking progress toward key milestones.
- Spend significant time onsite to monitor quality, safety, and progress.
- Maintain proactive, professional communication with clients, setting expectations and helping resolve issues.
- Represent CBRE with professionalism, integrity, and strong client service on a highly technical semiconductor campus.
What You'll Need:- 3-5 years of project management experience in construction; general contractor (GC) background strongly preferred.
- MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) background highly desirable.
- Experience supporting semiconductor or other advanced manufacturing/tech clients is a plus.
- Track record supporting projects ranging from $250,000 to $5 million in value.
- Working knowledge of estimating, subcontractor negotiation, contract administration, financial management, and scheduling.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with general oversight and limited administrative support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
- Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management preferred; relevant experience required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to clients and internal stakeholders.
