Summary:The Project Manager will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring successful delivery of projects from concept through commissioning. This role will work closely with engineering, operations, procurement, HSE, and external partners to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality energy infrastructure solutions. This position is based in the Houston or Calgary office and will report to the Engineering Manager - Projects.
Job Description: - Promote a proactive and positive safety culture within Certarus and its suppliers.
- Plan and Manage multi-faceted, complex projects for the company; first point of contact for the project internally and externally.
- Lead projects through all phases including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with HSE, Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Sales, and external vendors teams for safe and successful execution of Compressed Natural Gas projects
- Manage and coordinate facility upgrades at field locations.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on priorities, schedules, deliverables, and budget.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% based on project phase, site requirements, and execution needs.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7+ years' experience managing projects in a service, EPC or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with excellent organizational skills
- Strong risk identification and mitigation methodology
- Team player with problem solving ability, business acumen, effective time management and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish long lasting relationships with internal and external customers
- A self-starter with relentless habits in line with Certarus core values
Preferred: - Master's degree in Engineering preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Experience in natural gas industry and compression is an asset
