Full Job Description
Project Manager

The Project Manager leads, directs and coordinates the daily management of the assigned project(s). This leadership position is accountable for the overall performance of the project including costs, schedule, quality, project status, and adherence to company policies and procedures. More importantly, the Project Manager will manage a successful team and help develop future construction professionals.

This position will be rotational between site & office.

What You Will Be Working On

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide safety leadership through implementation of Bird Safety Program and monitoring of safety performance of project team and subcontractors.
  • Planning, scheduling, setting objectives and controlling activities during the construction phase of a project(s) in conjunction with the Project Superintendent and Project Team.
  • Supervision and development of project team members through regular feedback, training and coaching; timely completion of performance evaluations.
  • Administration and management of prime contract and subcontracts; includes negotiation and awarding of subcontracts for scopes of work as well as review and evaluation of subcontractor performance.
  • Manage project budget and billings and work with accounting to ensure timely payment of A/R and A/P.
  • Review and analysis of costs and identify revenue opportunities.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting on financial and overall performance of project to Senior Management.
  • Foster and maintain positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects and subcontractors.


What We Are Looking For
  • 10 years experience within Industrial Construction projects
  • PMP and GSC an asset
  • 5-10 years' experience in Project Management and Estimating field with a focus on industrial
  • 5 years' experience in a leadership role on construction sites and/or managing operations
  • Operational budgeting experience an asset
  • Advanced MS Office, Excel skills
  • Experience in managing projects in excess of $100 million
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
  • Ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced, complex and changing work environment, while managing multiple and shifting priorities, with an approach that encompasses both collaboration and integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly developed critical thinking, logical analysis and problem-solving skills with the highest standard of professional ethics and integrity
