Responsibilities
As The Project Manager, you will:
- Direct day-to-day execution of complex security-support work across multiple functional areas and locations.
- Converts contract and mission requirements into coordinated schedules, assignments, deliverables, and measurable actions while maintaining visibility into performance, staffing, dependencies, and risk.
- Synchronize contractor teams, functional specialists, and Government stakeholders; prepare management reporting; and resolve operational issues that could affect timely delivery. Working within the broader program-management structure
- Pomote disciplined execution, consistent communication, and integration among security disciplines.
- Ensure that planned activities progress to completion, required work products are delivered, and emerging priorities are incorporated without disrupting continuity or compliance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage security-support projects, schedules, milestones, assignments, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate day-to-day execution among functional teams, contractor personnel, Government leads, and supported work locations.
- Track actions, dependencies, risks, staffing needs, and performance trends through structured management tools.
- Translate contract requirements and Government priorities into clear work plans and accountable team assignments.
- Prepare status reports, management briefings, meeting materials, decision records, and corrective-action updates.
- Resolve execution issues and escalate risks that could affect schedule, quality, staffing, or mission responsiveness.
- Monitor deliverable quality and timeliness to ensure work products meet applicable requirements and customer expectations.
- Implement process improvements that strengthen workload management, communication, and integrated service delivery.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline and 10 years of directly relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline plus 14 years of directly related work experience.
- Knowledge of DoD 5000 series (Acquisition Process).
- Four years’ general security experience
- Experience must include support to Special Access Program and Sensitive Compartmented Information environments
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively across Government, contractor, and external stakeholders; prepare briefings, reports, standard operating procedures, and official correspondence; and lead a team in fast paced classified environments.
- ActiveTop Secretclearance with SCI eligibility; must be able to meet any applicable Special Access Program eligibility requirements identified by the Government.
Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $159,200.00/Yr. - USD $265,800.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
