Job Title: Project Manager (IT & Business Solutions)
Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic, organized, and results-driven Project Manager to lead internal IT and business transformation initiatives. In this role, you will be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and successful completion of enterprise projects, ensuring strict alignment with corporate strategy, budget constraints, and delivery commitments.
This is a high-visibility, matrix-leadership role requiring a strong blend of technical acumen and operational execution. You will manage cross-functional teams ranging from 5 to 25 members, oversee project financials up to $1M+ in complexity, partner with strategic sourcing teams for vendor contracting, and champion continuous PMO process improvements. Key Responsibilities
Project Governance & Delivery
• Lifecycle Execution: Direct the end-to-end delivery of IT and business projects, applying structured project management methodologies (Agile, Iterative, or Waterfall).
• Schedule & Critical Path: Develop detailed project schedules, identify critical paths, establish resource-driven work plans, and enforce scheduling standards across project teams.
• Communication Planning: Design and execute robust communication plans, facilitating regular stakeholder updates, executive status reviews, and project retrospectives.
Financial & Vendor Management
• Financial Stewardship: Forecast, manage, and report on project financials, capital expenditure, planned versus actual schedules, cost-to-completion projections, and resource utilization.
• Procurement & Contracting: Manage the development and processing of funding documentation, partnering with Strategic Sourcing and Contracts teams to draft and review RFPs, Master Services Agreements (MSAs), and Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Risk & Issue Mitigation: Proactively identify, track, and resolve project risks, issues, and scope changes utilizing standardized PMO toolsets.
PMO Collaboration & Leadership
• Matrix Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional IT and business resources through matrixed authority, fostering strong accountability and collaboration.
• Process Improvement: Actively participate in PMO process enhancement initiatives and support onboarding and mentoring for new project management staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline (equivalent professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree).
• Experience Baseline:
oMinimum of 2+ years of dedicated professional experience in an IT or business Project Management role.
oMinimum of 2+ years working within an information technology capacity with solid foundational understanding of applications, databases, networking, telecommunications, and security compliance.
• Technical Mastery:
oStrong working knowledge of project management lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative) and scheduling tools.
oProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic familiarity with portfolio management software (e.g., Clarity, MS Project, or Jira).
oExperience managing project budgets, revenue models, and financial cost-to-completion metrics.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; superior analytical and problem-solving abilities; proven ability to influence and interact effectively with senior leadership and external vendors.
Preferred Attributes
• Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent).
• Direct experience collaborating with legal and procurement teams on complex vendor RFPs and SOW negotiations.
