Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field - or equivalent experience
• 6-10 years of project management experience preferred in academic construction
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in project management tools like Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, Excel
• Deep understanding of construction drawings, contracts, schedules, and budget tracking
• Ability to physically navigate active construction sites
• Experience in business development and professional engagement

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning and scheduling, including detailed baseline schedules
• Collaborate with the Superintendent and Project Executive to maintain progress and resolve issues
• Manage project documentation, submittals, RFIs, and permitting
• Oversee procurement and negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders
• Coordinate change orders and ensure scope alignment
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and consultants
• Prepare budgets, cost reports, and monthly projections
• Ensure field construction meets quality and safety standards
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents
• Conduct project meetings with clear documentation and communication
• Oversee project closeout including punchlists, manuals, and final inspections
• Support business development through client relationship management
