Full Job Description
Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Monitors the assessment of project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Insures the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

As a Production Operations manager within the Advanced Programs Production Operations organization, you will be responsible for all aspects of Production Operations for the PAC-3 Adapted Capability Effector (PAC-3 ACE) program.

The Advanced Programs Production Operations team is responsible for delivering affordable and scalable manufacturing solutions that enable rapid fielding, rapid prototyping, and transition of advanced air and missile defense systems.

As the Production Operations manager for PAC-3 ACE, your responsibilities will include the following:
-Developing and deploying Production Operation's strategies for the design and development of the Production System.
-Driving cost, schedule, and quality performance for prototyping and development hardware builds.
-Leading the identification and adoption of advanced manufacturing capabilities and strategic supply chain and industry partnerships.
-Leading capital, capacity, and facility-project planning to support rapid prototyping, rapid fielding, and transition to production.
-Driving design-for-manufacturability, affordability, and producibility across programs.
-Leading the PAC-3 ACE Production Operations team.
-Coordinating with cross-functional partners-including Advanced Manufacturing and Technology (AMT), Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, -Coordination and collaboration with Business Development, Capture Management, Engineering and Technology, LM Production Sites, and Program Management to align strategy and execution.

Basic Qualifications

- A broad base of knowledge regarding electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production
- Previous operations leadership experience in a production environment required
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including to non-technical personnel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence
- Ability to obtain a "Secret" security clearance

-Familiarity with robotic automation capabilities
-Familiarity with factory modeling and simulation tools and applications
-Business acumen, with emphasis on Business Development, Capture strategy, and Operations strategy
-TRL/MRL knowledge and experience

-Contracting: familiarity with Other Transaction Authority (OTA) and Middle Tier of Acquisition
-Related professional level career experience in production operations
-Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

-Experience in capacity & capital planning
-Understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods
-First Unit Flow planning & execution
-Manufacturing & test statement of work and
proposal development experience
-Experience with Make-Buy generation and strategy
-Experience in the design of manufacturing
processes, procedures, and production layouts for
assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling
-CAM Certification or cost analysis experience
-Design for Assembly (DFA) familiarity or experience
-Ability to Lead with Vision and driven to Shape the Future

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
