Here's the Gist:The primary purpose of the Project Management Engineer at Wolfspeed is to support equipment installations, factory layout design, and capacity expansion planning across Wolfspeed's manufacturing sites.
The Day-to-Day:- Work cross-functionally to plan and execute equipment installations from need identification through production release, including developing the overall project plan: schedule, milestones and tasks, factory layout design, etc.
- Communicate regularly with management and other functional groups within Wolfspeed to report progress and ensure understanding of needs/problems in relation to industrial engineering projects.
- Lead / participate in projects related to work force utilization, work center layout, material flows, production costs, process flow and production requirements to enable high factory performance.
- Interact with other technical groups throughout Wolfspeed and elsewhere to exchange technical information and remain abreast of new developments in the field.
- Support of 24/7 manufacturing and participate in production planning.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):- BS degree from a four-year college/university in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years prior work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Overall knowledge of industrial engineering to support capacity planning, resource utilization and lean manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in the use of computer applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, and/or statistical analysis software (SQL, Access, JMP, VBA, etc.).
Highly Preferred Skills and Qualifications:- MS degree applicable to the Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering field.
- 5+ years' experience managing projects over $5 million.
- 5+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience in Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering field.
- Project Management certification(s).
- Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet).
