SEH is currenting searching for a Project Engineer - Water / Wastewater to join our talented Water/Wastewater team!
This Opportunity:Join our Water/Wastewater team and support the delivery of critical infrastructure projects for municipal, utility, and public-sector clients throughout Virginia. In this role, you'll contribute to the planning, design, permitting, and construction support of water and wastewater treatment facilities, distribution and collection systems, pump and lift stations, and other utility infrastructure.
Working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you'll develop practical engineering solutions, prepare technical deliverables, participate in field investigations, and build the skills needed to take on increasing project responsibility and progress toward PE licensure.

The ideal candidate is progressing toward PE licensure, eager to expand their technical expertise, and ready to take on increasing responsibility in project delivery and client service.
Essential Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
- 2+ years of experience in water, wastewater, municipal infrastructure, or a related engineering field
- EIT certification with progress toward PE licensure
- Experience supporting the planning, design, or construction of water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and prepare technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Virginia
Preferred Qualifications:- PE license or ability to obtain licensure within the next two years.
- Experience with water and wastewater treatment facilities or pumping stations
- Familiarity with hydraulic modeling and utility analysis software
- Experience with field investigations, construction observation, and construction-phase services
- Knowledge of Virginia utility standards, permitting requirements, and municipal infrastructure delivery
- Experience supporting project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and QA/QC efforts
- Interest in developing expertise in water and wastewater treatment, conveyance systems, asset management, or capital improvement planning
Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $80,000 and $100,000 based on skill set and experience. Check out our full benefits package at SEH Hiring Journey.
