Project Engineer - Commercial ConstructionLocation: San Francisco Bay Area, CA (Peninsula, South Bay & East Bay)
Salary: $90,000-$125,000 Base
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day construction operations.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, and project stakeholders.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and cost tracking.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and coordinate field activities.
- Assist with project closeout, inspections, and quality control.
- Develop the skills necessary to independently manage commercial construction projects.
Qualifications
- Construction Management, Engineering, or related educational background preferred.
- Commercial construction experience preferred, particularly with a general contractor.
- Exposure to tenant improvements, renovations, or commercial redevelopment is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Motivated to learn, take ownership, and grow into a Project Manager position.
- Must currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area or within a realistic commuting distance.
- No relocation assistance available.
Compensation & Benefits
- $90,000-$125,000 base salary, depending on experience.
