Overview

The Project Engineer supports the successful planning and execution of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other civil works. The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day project activities and field operations.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and track RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews.
  • Support cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance efforts.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance on-site.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 6years of heavy civil construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of heavy civil construction experience
  • Heavy civil construction project experience in Northern California.
  • Experience with self-perform civil construction projects.

Additional Information:

  • This position is located in Northern California.

The salary range for this position is between $120,000-$170,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
