Overview

Shimmick is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the Daly City Vista Grande Drainage Basin Improvements Project in Daly City, CA. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to project schedules and budgets.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day project activities and field operations.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and track RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews.
  • Support cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance efforts.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance on-site.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of heavy civil construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. 
  • Heavy civil project experience involving earthworks and/or concrete structures, as well as subcontractor management, work planning, and RFI's.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management.
  • Experience working on heavy civil construction projects in Northern California.

The salary range for this position is between $120,000-$150,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
