Senior Electrical Engineer
Embedded Electronics & PCB Product Development
On-site in Auburn, AL
Target salary range: $130,000 - $175,000.00
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Embedded Electronics & PCB Product Development to lead the design, development, and launch of advanced embedded electronic products. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with expertise in PCB design, embedded systems, microprocessors, FPGAs, analog circuitry, wireless RF technologies, Li-Ion battery systems, sensors, and new product development, supporting the full product lifecycle from concept through production readiness and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Lead the electrical design and development of PCB-based embedded electronic products from concept through production.
Serve as the technical lead for assigned projects, coordinating engineering activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Define project requirements, develop schedules, and oversee project execution to ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved.
Design, develop, integrate, test, and validate embedded electronic hardware and supporting systems.
Analyze technical challenges, troubleshoot complex system issues, and implement effective engineering solutions.
Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and product management teams to ensure seamless product integration.
Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data from engineering teams, suppliers, product documentation, laboratory testing, and experimental evaluations.
Develop and execute product verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable industry standards.
Prepare engineering documentation, design records, test reports, manufacturing documentation, and production release packages.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing engineering processes, development methodologies, and product design practices.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, designers, and technicians as project needs require.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
5-10 years of hands-on experience designing and developing electronic assemblies or equivalent demonstrated engineering experience.
