Full Job Description

We are seeking a Project Engineerfor our First Quality Home Care Products, LLC company located in Salt Lake City, UT.  This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects that improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and facility operations. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead manufacturing capital and continuous improvement projects from concept through implementation

  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans

  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, Supply Chain, and leadership to align projects with business goals

  • Oversee equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning

  • Manage contractors, engineering firms, and equipment vendors

  • Analyze production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance

  • Manage contractors, vendors, and external partners

  • Oversee equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards

  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field), or equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • 3–7+ years of experience in manufacturing, chemical/process, or industrial engineering environment

  • Experience managing capital projects and budgets

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement tools

  • Proficiency in project management software and CAD systems (preferred)

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing/growing processes

  • Ability to support in responsibilities outside the defined role/title

  • Experience with automation, process optimization, or equipment validation

  • Familiarity with GMP or regulated manufacturing environments

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
