GAI is seeking a Project Engineer 2 (transmission line) to join our Power Delivery team. Required skills include transmission line design experience, critical thinking, problem solving, organization, team-focus, and eagerness to apply learned engineering principles to solve real life problems. Candidates with a minimum of 1-year of experience and knowledge in PLS-CADD are eligible for remote work. Candidates without PLS-CADD knowledge need to be based at any GAI office on-site or on a hybrid schedule.
The Project Engineer 2 is responsible for technical leadership and the successful delivery of transmission line designs while maintaining the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of projects within GAI's Transmission & Distribution Division. This individual should be technically focused and a strong leader with developed technical, communication, and computer skills.

Minimum Years of ExperienceEducationCertification/Licensure- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, reciprocity in multiple states.

Technical Responsibilities- Frequently serves as the technical advisor in the application of advanced concepts and methods in an assigned area.
- Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in projects or applications.

Project and Task Management- Oversees a project team of engineers and technicians.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates the preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects.
- Analyzes project management plans for complex engineering projects.
- Understands project delivery uncertainties and uses risk management principles to address them.
- Reviews operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures.
Management Responsibility- Receives administrative supervision with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
- Mentors senior staff.
- Integrates professional attitudes relevant to the practice of engineering and fosters creativity, curiosity, flexibility, and dependability in staff.
