Project Director - Industrial Sector
Position Description

We are seeking a Project Director to join our team. This role is responsible for providing operational leadership and oversight for large, complex construction projects and programs while supporting the strategic growth and performance of an assigned sector. The Project Director serves as a senior leader responsible for ensuring successful project execution, financial performance, client satisfaction, talent development, quality, and safety across multiple project teams.

The ideal candidate is an experienced construction leader who can develop high-performing teams, foster strong client relationships, and drive operational excellence while supporting company initiatives and sector growth.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for large, complex projects and multiple project teams.
Support Sector Leaders in the planning, development, and execution of projects and operational initiatives.
Ensure project teams effectively manage project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial performance.
Monitor project and sector KPIs and drive accountability for financial outcomes.
Ensure project schedules are developed, maintained, and executed to achieve project milestones and client expectations.
Oversee contract administration activities and ensure projects are managed in accordance with owner contract requirements.
Support the development, negotiation, and execution of owner contracts.
Provide oversight of subcontractor buyouts, contract administration, and performance management.
Mentor and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams to drive professional growth and performance.
Promote innovative problem-solving and creative solutions to project challenges.
Support project teams in construction planning, logistics, and execution strategies to maximize project performance.
Ensure project compliance with PARIC quality standards and project-specific requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, client representatives, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
Promote clear and effective communication across project teams and stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to PARIC safety standards and OSHA requirements while supporting a zero-incident safety culture.
Support talent development initiatives and ensure development plans are established and executed for team members.
Lead by example and promote PARIC's core values across all project teams.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
10+ years of progressive construction management experience with leadership responsibility for large commercial construction projects.
Experience managing large-scale projects, programs, or multiple project teams.
Strong knowledge of project financial management, scheduling, contract administration, procurement, and construction operations.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team development skills.
Strong client relationship management and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:
Experience leading diverse project portfolios within a commercial construction environment.
Demonstrated success mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
Experience supporting operational strategy and sector growth initiatives.
Advanced knowledge of project controls, forecasting, and construction technology tools.
