The Project Director, IMIT - UHNBC Acute Care Tower is responsible and accountable for the overall leadership, planning, governance, and successful delivery of all IMIT-related components of the UHNBC Acute Care Tower project including IMIT scope across digital health, clinical information systems, infrastructure, applications, devices, security, and connectivity, integrated with the project's construction, commissioning, and operational readiness timelines. The position partners with executive sponsors, clinical and operational leadership, capital planning, facilities, biomedical, and Alliance partners to ensure technology is embedded in building design, clinical workflows, and the transition to sustained operations.
Starting salary will be approximately from $118,923 to $148,653 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Qualfications
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Health Information Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressively senior experience leading complex, large-scale information technology or digital health initiatives in a healthcare or similarly complex multi-site environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Demonstrated experience providing senior-level leadership for projects or portfolios with significant financial, organizational, and stakeholder complexity.
• Experience working in or supporting major healthcare capital redevelopment or infrastructure projects is considered a strong asset.
• Current valid BC Driver's License.
Skills and Abilities:
• Comprehensive knowledge of project governance and delivery methodologies in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong understanding of digital health, clinical information systems, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and system integration concepts.
• Proven ability to facilitate and negotiate win-win solutions among groups who may believe their interests are competing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support project management teams and multidisciplinary technical professionals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills particularly in the areas of motivation, problem resolution, risk identification and people management. Ability to listen with sensitivity to stakeholders to understand situations and issues.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior leaders, clinicians, vendors, and external partners.
• Excellent risk management, financial management, and issue resolution skills.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to synthesize complex information for executive decision-making.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change in complex healthcare environments.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to evolving project needs.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
