Full Job Description
HGA is currently seeking to hire an experienced Project Controls Specialist / Scheduler to support the planning and execution of heavy civil and industrial construction projects through schedule development, cost tracking, forecasting, progress measurement, and performance reporting for our client.

This position works closely with Project Managers, field teams, and the Project Controls Manager to provide accurate and timely project information and identify potential cost and schedule impacts. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. Track project progress, costs, commitments, productivity, and key performance indicators.
Perform schedule analysis, identify critical path activities, and communicate potential delays or risks. Support project forecasting, cost reporting, change management, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) activities. Collect and validate progress information from project and field teams. Prepare weekly and monthly project controls reports, dashboards, and schedule updates. Assist with baseline schedules, recovery schedules, look-ahead schedules, and schedule narratives. Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, Accounting, and field leadership to maintain accurate project data.

Requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3-7+ years of project controls and/or scheduling experience, preferably in heavy civil, industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale construction.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel. Experience with CPM scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, progress measurement, and construction reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with both project management and field teams.
