Position Summary
The Project Controller is responsible for gathering project-related data from the Project Management and the Industrial teams, treating this data, and maintaining cost and schedule progress reports. Must be able to provide an analysis of the complete set of projects for multiple sites, with sufficient depth for the project manager to act in the main project areas.
Responsibilities
Project controlling expertise to develop business financial models from scratch.
Performance analysis of cost and schedule of multiple projects. Create and manage reports, discuss action plans with Project Managers related to performance deviation.
Overview cost and schedules to ensure compliance with standards. Work with Cost Estimator and Project Scheduler to increase quality of the deliverables.
Maintenance of the capital portfolio, monitoring the current capital expenditures, adjusting the capital trend with support of the Project Management team. Participate in discussions across multiple Industrial sites to follow up status updates.
Apply decision criteria tools to prioritize next year’s capital portfolio.
System administration of the PPM (supports day-to-day system needs).
Creating and maintaining reporting solutions for Maintenance, Project Management, and Executives.
Ensuring Project Management and Industrial teams have the appropriate tools for project financial planning.
Qualifications
5 to 10 years in Project Controls experience.
Experience in working in a portfolio with multiple projects.
Practice in project management (FEL methodology - estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue management, risk management, change management, communication planning).
Excellent business communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements
B.S. in engineering is preferred.
