Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000
The compensation range disclosed represents an estimate of base salary and does not include discretionary bonuses or any overtime pay.
Candidate ProfileThe Structural BIM Technologist works as part of a team under the direction of an experienced BIM Technologist/BIM Leader to produce drawings on a variety of buildings including commercial, residential, institutional and sports/recreation complexes. The successful candidate is a self-motivated, fast learner with the desire to continually learn and grow. A commitment to providing exceptional client service and developing technical expertise to deliver practical, creative solutions is essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop building Structural models from general conceptual information.
- Provide project drafting/modelling and be accountable for schedule and efficiency.
- Be accountable to Project Engineers for drawing production and quality per RJC standards.
- Work as part of a team, to produce drawings / Revit Model on a variety of projects.
- Co-ordinate and overlay drawings of other team members to resolve drawing co-ordination in development of detailed design of projects.
Professional QualificationsEDUCATION:- Certificate course of Revit from accredited University or Technical college is required.
- Diploma in Civil/Structural drafting or technology from accredited University or Technical College.
- CanBIM certification or Autodesk certification is an asset and strongly preferred.
- Certified Engineering Technologist as an asset.
EXPERIENCE:- 5+ years working experience with REVIT.
- Experience in construction and/or consulting services an asset.
- Navis works / Revizto should be an asset.
- Knowledge of model coordination and design collaboration through ACC Forma should be an asset.
- Experience in Autodesk Construction Cloud / Forma an asset.
- Working and understanding with different structural material e.g. Wood, Precast, Steel and Concrete, light gauge steel.
SKILLS:- Technically proficient in REVIT 2022+. Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an asset.
- Structural drafting knowledge across all phases of projects, understanding of phasing in project should be an asset.
- Fast learner who can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Team player who is assertive and able to work with minimal direction.
- Hard worker who is ready to assume responsibility quickly.
- Inquisitive, clear thinker who can determine what work is required and who can draw rational conclusions from information available.
