Responsibilities

  • Manage DoD ammunition/munition production programs throughout their life cycle
  • Oversee program P&L and implement corporate programs across various projects
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and external regulations
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness
  • Supervise program or project staff for timely and quality completion of tasks
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders
  • Promote program utilization within the organization

Full Job Description
Job Summary
Provides program support for DoD ammunition/munition production programs through working collaboratively across different departments to manage projects/programs from initiation through completion, meet financial revenue, operating efficiency, and strategic goals, as well as regulatory requirements. Keeps all stakeholders informed of developments on the projects/programs covering the full range of the program's life cycle. ***We are currently recruiting for Program Manager II and Program Manager III opportunities. Essential Functions
  • Has P&L responsibilities for a specific program
  • Implements and administers one or more corporate programs, typically consisting of multiple programs or sub-programs.
  • Executes programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers.
  • Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance.
  • Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks utilization.
  • Supervises the work of program or project staff to ensure that work in completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.
    • Required Qualifications
      • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
      • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
      Preferred Qualifications
      • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
      • Discipline/Major: Business degree preferred
      • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Project management skills.
      • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant project management certifications. Earned Value Management (EVM) experience. Professional contracting certifications at the state or national levels.
      • Working knowledge of munitions: associated platforms, strategic and tactical systems, and military munitions/platform interface requirements.
      Physical Requirements
      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
      • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
      • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
