Job Title: Program Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary

The Program Manager will oversee, and coordinate manufacturing projects related to metal fabrication, machining, and assembly. This customer-facing role will be responsible for ensuring projects meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations while maintaining strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and a proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project requirements.
  • Oversee and manage manufacturing programs from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, production, and quality control, to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Provide design for manufacturability (DFM) feedback to MMG engineering and direct to the customer.
  • Monitor project performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing concerns and providing solutions to meet their needs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing operations and supply chain management.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing program management, preferably in metal fabrication, machining, or assembly.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, welding, forming, and assembly.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work in a customer-facing role, managing client expectations and resolving issues effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and project management software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.


Physical and Environmental Conditions
  • Primarily sitting at a desk with occasional need to stand, walk, and reach for items.
  • Fine motor skills for typing on a keyboard and using a mouse.
  • Ability to lift and carry light objects (up to 50 pounds) occasionally.
