The Program Manager leads contract performance and delivers integrated program, financial, logistics, material management, and information technology support for Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agency customers. This position provides strategic direction, manages program execution, maintains customer engagement, and ensures all work meets contract requirements, schedules, quality standards, and security obligations.
As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active SECRET clearance to be considered.
A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Program Manager: ** Although this is not yet an approved position, we are accepting applications for this future and anticipated need. The applicable salary range will be posted promptly upon award of the contract and once funding for the position has been determined. No offer will be extended prior to posting the applicable salary range.

Program Manager Responsibilities Include:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, contracting officer, contracting officer’s representative, and program team.
Lead all aspects of program and project management, including planning, execution, performance monitoring, risk management, issue resolution, and closeout activities.
Develop and manage program plans, integrated schedules, staffing plans, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and performance measures.
Direct multidisciplinary teams supporting financial management, program management, IT, material management, logistics, and related mission requirements.
Monitor contract performance and ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of all required products and services.
Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues to appropriate stakeholders.
Manage program resources and coordinate personnel assignments to meet mission priorities and contractual requirements.
Prepare and deliver program status reports, briefings, presentations, and other required documentation for government and internal leadership.
Support financial planning, cost control, resource allocation, and budget execution activities, as applicable.
Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, federal, customer, contract, and company policies and procedures.
Maintain effective communication with government stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal functional leaders.
Use Microsoft Office Suite applications to develop reports, analyze data, manage schedules, and prepare customer-ready correspondence and briefings.
Protect classified, sensitive, and controlled information in accordance with security requirements.
Program Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in a business-related field; or
Bachelor’s degree in any field and an additional five years of qualifying experience, for a total of 15 years of experience supporting DoD organizations as military personnel, government civilians, similarly situated government organizations, or commercial organizations.
At least 15 years of combined experience supporting DoD or other federal agencies in one or more of the following areas:
Financial management
Program management
Information technology
Material management
Logistics
At least five years of program or project management experience.
Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA Level III Program Management certification; or
An additional five years of program/project management experience on a DoD contract, for a total of 10 years of DoD contract program/project management experience.
DAU Lifecycle Logistics Level I certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and related applications.
Active Secret security clearance required on the first day of performance.
Must pass pre-employment requirements of Cherokee Federal.
