Standard Job DescriptionDirects all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

WHO YOU AREThe F-35 Training and Logistics Market Segment, Development and Modernization Program Manager leads the development of a key release for the F-35 Training Modernization portfolio. This is a challenging, high-visibility assignment focused on driving execution to deliver on critical schedule commitments. The Program Manager is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the Training System development. The Program Manager will act as a primary customer interface (LM Aeronautics and the F-35 Joint Program Office) during the development phase. The Program Manager will manage program execution, staffing demand, risks and opportunities, and process improvement initiatives. The role includes working collaboratively across the F-35 Training Modernization portfolio to increase throughput for new capability delivery and minimize training system lifecycle costs. The Program Manager will support Senior Leadership strategic initiatives.
Basic Qualifications• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills and experience leading diverse, distributed and virtual teams
• Program Management experience
• Adept at working with matrix organizations for executing and proposing programs
• Proven ability to identify, influence, and build strong relationships with decision makers and maintain long-term customer intimacy
• Ability to partner with peers across Lockheed Martin Business Units
• Demonstrated business acumen to include experience in EVMS and performance metrics
• Strong communication and presentation Skills
• Be willing and able to travel as required
• Ability to obtain Secret SAR clearances
Desired Skills• Program Management experience with DevSecOps and Agile development
• Proven track record of leading large and complex systems development programs
• Technical engineering system development experience
• Active Secret clearance with a completed investigation within the last 5 years
• Program Manager level 2 certified
• Experience in the Training and Simulation domain
• Knowledge of the F-35 Program
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00
