The Program Manager is expected to be the main point of contact and a representative of AMS, working to maintain positive relationships between the customer and internal stakeholders. The Program Manager will oversee customer requirements, ensuring that they are clearly defined and addressed by appropriate internal AMS contributors. They will also be required to manage internal projects that support customer programs, or overall business improvement.
The Program Manager will work with all groups within Annapolis, as projects and programs frequently requirement engagement from all departments (Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, Contracts, etc.). They will also be involved with the entire order process, from pre-Sales RFPs/RFQs to long-term customer order sustainment.
Responsibilities- Own and coordinate customer programs from inception to fulfillment
- Gather and communicate customer requirements
- Support the sales team during the Capture effort
- Determine Level of Efforts required internally to support program pricing
- Drive program execution internally and externally
- Manage both internal and external relationships related to the program
- Visit/communicate with customers to discuss customer's requirements, schedule, and budget, as well as Annapolis' capabilities and solutions for a program
- Key member of team to provide technical solution, schedule and costs for a program
- Key member of team to provide proposals and answer compliance with RFIs/RFQs
- Lead/participate in Customer Progress Meetings
- Keep track of schedule for program
- Monitor and drive deadlines to completion
- Communicate with customers and FAEs to resolve technical issues
- Compile and organize business and technical documents/information regarding each customer program
- Documents include SOWs, Requirement and Specifications, Development cost estimates, Schedules, Proposals, etc.
- Assist with COTS Product Development
- Provide feedback about technical customer requirements to Product Development group to ensure Annapolis is developing the correct products and features in the future
- Interface with Annapolis' FAEs, Engineering, Sales and work closely with Senior Management
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- History of owning communication within an organization and externally with customers
- Prior experience with translating between internal stakeholders and customer stakeholders
- History of managing contract flow downs and tiered document structures
- Previous experience with managing and fostering customer relationships, virtually or in-person
- Prior history managing Engineering or product developmental efforts
- Proven track record of managing multiple efforts simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Prior involvement in process improvement or business process efforts
- Experience with IMS ownership and creation
- Identification of Risks
- Implementation of Risk mitigation plans
- Assigning task duration and impact
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Technical Background- BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical background is highly preferred
- U.S. Government clearance is a plus
- Prior Security/Intelligence/Defense Industry experience is highly preferred
- At least two years of experience within a program or project management role in the aerospace/military electronics sector
- Prior experience in a small to mid-sized company is a plus
In compliance with local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $110,000/yr to $160,000/yr; however, Annapolis Micro Systems considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
