Job Description
Ignite is seeking a Program Integrator to support the SOCOM team within the Global Tactical Edge Acquisition Directorate (G-TEAD), the Army's acquisition hub for rapidly turning urgent commander needs into combat-ready, interoperable capability, often within 90 days of a stated challenge. The Program Integrator is the connective tissue between the operational user, the engineers, the contracting team, and the program offices. This person makes sure a mission need is captured correctly, moves through the acquisition system on a compressed timeline, and actually lands in the hands of the soldier.
The G-TEAD SOCOM team is small, diverse, and asked to do a little of everything: scout technology, run Accelerated Capability Events, write requirements, support Other Transaction awards, track dozens of concurrent efforts, and keep leadership informed every week. The right candidate is comfortable moving between an operator's problem statement, a vendor's white paper, a contracting officer's file, and a general officer's briefing, all in the same week.
Job Requirements
What You Will Do
• Serve as the liaison between G-TEAD leadership, SOCOM and Army operational stakeholders, and subordinate program offices, synchronizing capability development priorities across the portfolio.
• Translate operational problem statements and capability gaps into requirements packages, statements of work/objectives, evaluation criteria, and other acquisition documents ready for contracting action.
• Develop and maintain integration plans, capability gap analyses, and technology transition roadmaps that identify the receiving program of record, funding path, and transition decision points.
• Partner with Agreements Officers and the contracting team to execute rapid acquisition strategies, including Other Transaction authorities (10 U.S.C. §§ 4021, 4022, 4023), Commercial Solutions Openings, and competitive prototype solicitations, from problem statement to award.
• Support white paper and pitch evaluations, technical and operational assessments, and source selection documentation for accelerated awards.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Accelerated Capability Events (ACEs), user assessments, demonstrations, and validation events that bring operators, industry, and technical experts together; capture results and drive them back into requirements and transition decisions.
• Assess technical, operational, schedule, and acquisition risk on candidate solutions and recommend go/no-go decisions to leadership before investment and fielding.
• Monitor cost, schedule, and performance of active efforts; maintain the program tracker and prepare weekly SITREPs and the monthly and quarterly program activity reports (Major Accomplishments, Activities Planned, Issues & Concerns).
• Produce decision-quality briefings, white papers, information papers, and correspondence for senior leaders in accordance with AR 25-50.
• Represent G-TEAD on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), program reviews, and working groups; coordinate with PEOs, S&T organizations, SOF AT&L, and allied partners to de-conflict efforts and accelerate transition.
Required Qualifications
• Active Secret clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI.
• 10+ years of combined experience in Army or DoD acquisition, program management, capability development, or operational support, including direct work with Army acquisition programs and PEOs.
• Hands-on experience translating operational requirements into acquisition documents (requirements packages, SOWs/SOOs, PWSs, evaluation criteria) that were carried through to award.
• Working knowledge of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, rapid acquisition pathways, and Other Transaction authorities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts, track cost/schedule/performance, and surface risk to leadership early and candidly.
• Strong written and briefing skills; able to produce products senior leaders use without a rewrite.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
• Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, business, or management discipline, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Desired Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Master's degree in management, leadership, systems engineering, acquisition, or a related field.
• DAWIA certification (Program Management, Contracting, or Engineering & Technical Management), Certified Project Director (CPD), PMP, or equivalent.
• Training or certification in Other Transactions, and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) certification.
• Experience supporting operational headquarters, theater-level commands, or Army Service Component Commands.
• Background in rapid capability development, technology demonstrations, or experimentation, including moving prototypes into production or a program of record.
• Experience supporting OTA consortia, CSOs, or other non-traditional contracting vehicles, and working with non-traditional defense contractors.
• Intelligence, targeting, or threat analysis background that informs capability gap prioritization.
• Experience establishing program governance, portfolio reporting, or process improvement in a fast-paced government or defense-industry environment.
Desired: Special Operations (SOCOM) Experience
The G-TEAD SOCOM team supports SOF mission needs, so Special Operations experience is a significant advantage. The following experience is highly desired:
• Service within USSOCOM or a component command, particularly USASOC, with an understanding of how SOF operational requirements differ from conventional force needs.
• Experience in SOF acquisition or contracting, including SOF AT&L, PEO-level programs, or Major Force Program 11 (MFP-11) funded efforts.
• Experience on SOCOM capability development, requirements, or innovation teams, including operator-driven prototyping, user assessments, and SOFWERX engagement.
• Established professional relationships across the SOF enterprise that support coordination between Army acquisition and SOCOM stakeholders.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first six months, leadership trusts you to know where every effort on the SOCOM board stands and what is at risk before they ask. You will have carried at least one need from problem statement through award and into a user assessment or transition decision, helped run at least one Accelerated Capability Event, and built working relationships across the operator, contracting, and program-office communities. Your weekly SITREPs and monthly reports go forward with minimal edits.
