We seek an innovative Program Director to lead undergraduate academic programs in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Science (CS), Cybersecurity (CY), and Data Science (DS). Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads the planning, organization, direction, staffing, and oversight of assigned programs, encompassing curriculum development, assessment, ongoing review, and program enhancement.
• Aligns all program elements with current accreditation standards and requirements.
• Integrates the program curriculum with the CityU academic model, emphasizing real-world application and contemporary practices.
• Supervises, mentors, and evaluates academic staff and faculty to foster professional growth and teaching excellence.
• Models, encourages, and promotes scholarly engagement in teaching and learning.
• Leads orientation, training, and ongoing coaching for departmental faculty and administrative staff.
• Ensures timely and optimal nomination and assignment of faculty to courses.
• Advocates for student learning and engagement, proactively developing students into responsible, ethical, and self-directed professionals.
• Oversees student retention and graduation/completion rates and develops proactive interventions to support at-risk students.
• Monitors the fiscal health of assigned programs, including enrollment trends, headcount, and registration data.
• Maintains oversight of both quarterly and long-term course schedules, ensuring appropriate offerings for timely degree progress.
• Where applicable, supervises internship programs, establishing, approving, and supporting quality internship sites and professional partnerships with agencies and supervisors.
• Teaches or develops three courses per year (or equivalent) within compensation, ensuring required teaching assignments are met before engaging in additional teaching.
• Stays abreast of industry trends, standards, and best practices to ensure course content remains relevant and forward-looking.
• Actively participates in assigned committees and councils.
• Continues to contribute to applied research, publish scholarly articles on technology and computing, and earn industry certifications.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in STEM fields.
• An earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution in AI, CS, CY, DS, or a closely related discipline (Or we expect the candidate to receive their doctoral degree within 1 year)
• Demonstrated experience in higher education management and adult education, with at least three years of successful teaching?preferably in both in-person and online learning environments.
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in the technology industry.
• At least two publications in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Science (CS), Cybersecurity (CY), or Data Science (DS) within the past three years.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams in creative, innovative, virtual, and digital environments.
• Thorough understanding of the practitioner-faculty model and a strong commitment to delivering the highest quality educational experience in technology and computing.
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse students, faculty, staff, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise in research and/or teaching in Artificial Intelligence, Physical AI, Digital Twins, Cybersecurity (Information Technology or Operational Technology), Full-stack AI Development, or AI-Powered Software Engineering.
• Two or more AI-related publications within the past three years.
• Possession of industry certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Data Science.
• Experience effectively addressing student academic concerns and issues.
• Experience managing and leading virtual teams.

• Travel, including overnight travel, may be required.

Salary information:

$105,000 - $115,000/year DOE
