Position Description Penn Medicine is seeking a full-time Program Director for Geriatric Medicine to join Lancaster General Health Physicians Geriatrics practice! Reporting to the Executive Medical Director of Primary Care and Population Health, this physician leader will be responsible for the strategic, clinical, quality, operational, and workforce leadership of the department. The Program Director will partner closely with the Associate Managing Clinician, APP Manager, Practice Manager, Section Leads, and Penn Medicine Medical Group leadership to advance the mission, growth, quality, and sustainability of geriatric services across ambulatory, post-acute, home-based, and consultative care settings.
The Geriatric Medicine Department is comprised of nearly 40 providers, 18 physicians and 20 APPs, who provide care across three outpatient offices, five extended-care facilities, the hospital-based Geriatric Consult Service, Geriatrics at Home, and Penn Medicine Advanced Home Health.
The Program Director will establish and maintain their own active clinical practice within our extended-care facility network with the opportunity to rotate onto the hospital-based Geriatric Consult Service.
Minimum Requirements - Board certified/eligible in Geriatric Medicine
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in geriatrics
- Active medical license, or ability to obtain, in the state of Pennsylvania
