Job Description

Ignite is currently seeking a driven Program Analyst - Software Performance to join our team supporting Integrated Fires and Mission Command, Redstone Arsenal, AL. This position is onsite. This role supports the Integrated Fires Directorate (IFD) Post-Software Release Analysis team for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS).

The Program Analyst will analyze simulated software-performance results, identify and help resolve defects, and prepare reports and briefings for the Product Owner, program management, and government stakeholders. The role coordinates with analysts, engineers, and software developers to communicate capabilities, limitations, risks, findings, and decision points.

The position uses Jira and Confluence to track issues and communicate work within a SAFe program environment. It also supports execution and troubleshooting of established Linux-based simulation tools and scripts. This is primarily a technical analysis and defect identification and resolution role.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

§ Analyze simulated IBCS software-performance results to identify capabilities, limitations, defects, and improvement opportunities.

§ Support root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) for software defects.

§ Create and track existing Jira tickets; follow issues through resolution. Maintain awareness of development activity within the program's SAFe environment.

§ Prepare reports, visual products, and briefings for program management and government stakeholders.

§ Communicate performance findings, risks, priorities, resource limitations, and decision points to technical and program stakeholders.

§ Maintain Confluence page to document and communicate findings, issue status, and coordination information.

§ Execute and troubleshoot established simulation tools and scripts in a Linux-based environment.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Associate's degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in software analysis, software test, systems integration, engineering analysis, technical program support, or a related field.

§ Experience analyzing technical information and communicating findings in reports and briefings. Ability to grow programming and scripting capabilities.

§ Ability to create and track work items or defects in Jira or a comparable tool.

§ Strong written, verbal, and cross-functional communication skills.

§ Ability to work independently within established processes. Assist in improving those processes.

§ Eligible for a Secret security clearance and able to obtain an interim Secret clearance before beginning work requiring access. Active Secret clearance preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

§ Technical bachelor's degree, or an associate degree with relevant experience and progress toward a bachelor's degree.

§ Experience with software performance analysis, modeling and simulation, software test, defect management, or hardware/software integration.

§ Basic Linux command-line experience and ability to learn established simulation tools, scripts, and troubleshooting procedures.

§ Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages and tools

§ Experience with Confluence, RCCA, SAFe, Agile software programs, or defense/government programs.

Security Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain Secret clearance. Interim Secret will be required before starting work

Education Requirements:

Associate's degree with 3 years' work experience, or bachelor's degree. Degrees and experience must be in relevant field(s).
