Position Description:
The University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law invites applications for the Mary Byron Endowed Chair in Intimate Partner Violence (“Mary Byron Chair”) to commence July 1, 2027. The holder of the Mary Byron Chair should have a well-established record of outstanding scholarship as well as teaching expertise in one or more areas related to Intimate Partner Violence, consistent with the expectations of a tenured, full professor. The Mary Byron Chair will teach courses within Brandeis Law as well as oversee the development of the Mary Byron Center in Intimate Partner Violence Education by Equifax to advance education, scholarship, and community engagement focused on the prevention of intimate partner violence (IPV). Housed within the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, the Center will integrate IPV education into the curriculum, provide experiential learning opportunities for students, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration across the University of Louisville.
