Full Job Description

Ecolab is seeking a Production Team Lead to lead daily manufacturing operations in our Fresno, TX chemical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for first-line leadership and coaching of a production team to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of production plans while meeting objectives for safety, quality, productivity, cost, and people development. The Production Team Lead will oversee a team of operators across shifts, drive continuous improvement initiatives, support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, and foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence. This position plays a critical role in ensuring raw materials and finished goods meet engineering and product specifications while supporting plant performance and business objectives.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10 operators in a batch chemical manufacturing environment operating on a DuPont schedule.
  • Execute production plans to achieve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and service objectives while meeting budgeted standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, external regulations, environmental requirements, and safety standards.
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment by promoting safe behaviors, conducting risk assessments, and driving safety initiatives.
  • Monitor and enforce quality control procedures to ensure raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet established specifications and standards.
  • Support and actively participate in TPM and continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
  • Recommend and implement measures to improve departmental productivity, efficiencies, product quality, manufacturing methods, and working conditions while minimizing downtime.
  • Control quality, yields, labor utilization, and production costs within established budgets.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities to ensure operational goals are achieved.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Quality, Logistics, Planning, and regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate plant priorities, business objectives, and operational expectations to employees across shifts.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and resolve quality, environmental, safety, and service issues.
  • Provide formal and informal reporting on operational performance, production results, and key plant initiatives.
  • Promote positive employee relations and maintain a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Supervise direct reports and support employee performance, training, and development activities.

Position Details (Location & Work Schedule):
  • Location: Fresno, TX
  • Must be within commuting distance of Fresno, TX
  • Work Schedule: DuPont rotating schedule consisting of 12-hour rotating shifts
  • Reports to: Production Manager

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; OR Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to work a rotating DuPont schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in production supervision and/or quality control within a chemical manufacturing environment or related industry.
  • Experience leading manufacturing teams and driving operational performance.
  • TPM and continuous improvement experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience managing production, quality, cost, and safety metrics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power BI, Power Automate, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $74,700.00 - $112,200.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
