Full Job Description
Job Title: Specialist, Production Planning

Location: San Leandro, CA (this position is 100% onsite)

Business Unit: Randtron

Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off.

Primary Function:

Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the flow of material through the production cycle.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Calculates and plans amount and timing of material requirements.
  • Generates purchase requisitions, shop orders, and shippers for material required for production.
  • Monitors the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, inspection, receiving, and stores.
  • Performs routine recordkeeping and reporting tasks such as status reports on production and material deficiencies.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation and judgment.
  • Must be computer literate, knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Requires a working knowledge of an ERP system.

Education/Experience/Training:
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to read difficult instructions, maintain written records and utilize basic math skills.
  • ASCM training, CPIM desirable.
  • Requires experience in planning parts and materials for electro-mechanical assemblies in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Shop scheduling/capacity management skills desirable.

Additional Requirements:
  • Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion.
  • Ability to type for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Able to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel and squat.
  • Will be exposed to some or all of the following: fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Able to move items 20 pounds for distances up to 50 feet.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a future Security Clearance may be required for the role. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $68,500 - 127,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Fisica Inc. also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), PTO, EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, and schedule type.
