The Production Manager leads daily manufacturing operations to deliver the production plan safely, efficiently, and with high quality. This role is accountable for performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people (SQDCP), ensuring solid governance, disciplined execution, and a continuous improvement mindset. The Manager builds the skills of the production team, supports problem solving and Kaizen efforts, and ensures adherence to all Vestas standards, HSE requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Responsibilities:- Apply all safety policies and support efforts to improve the site's safety culture
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Make sure products comply with quality standards and take corrective action when issues arise
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
- Develop and manage production schedules; adjust plans as needed to meet customer demand.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, leads, and hourly production associates.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage workforce planning, including hiring and training.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in operations management, Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Consistent results in meeting production targets, improving KPIs, and overseeing continuous improvement projects
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflow improvement, and production planning
- Effective team leadership skills, including the capacity to mentor, coach, and develop employees throughout the organization

Physical Demands: - Read and follow work instructions in English and complete required documentation.

- Work safely with chemicals and materials per OSHA guidelines.
- Stand, walk, climb stairs, and perform tasks requiring reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Lift, push, or pull up to 45 lbs. individually and up to 70 lbs. as part of a team.
- Maintain adequate vision for close and distant tasks.
