Full Job Description
The Production Manager role offers a unique opportunity to lead a strategic manufacturing organization that supports one of Syensqo's most dynamic and innovation-driven businesses. This position is based at our Kalamazoo, MI site. Reporting directly to the Site Director and serving as a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, developing talent, strengthening our safety culture, and supporting future growth. You will join a dedicated, experienced team with a strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational performance. We count on you for: • Championing an uncompromising safety culture and ensuring compliance with all HSE and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements. • Leading production operations to achieve safety, quality, customer service, productivity and cost objectives. • Providing strong leadership, coaching and development for production supervisors and manufacturing teams. • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs across the organization. • Building a high-performing culture focused on accountability, engagement and collaboration. • Managing operating budgets and supporting overall site financial performance. • Developing talent, succession plans and organizational capabilities to support future business needs. • Partnering closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain and Business teams to optimize site performance. • Supporting manufacturing capability and reliability improvements aligned with business growth objectives. • Contributing as an active member of the Kalamazoo Site Leadership Team. You will bring: • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline. • Significant manufacturing leadership experience in a process industry environment. • 10+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, specialty materials, or related industries. • Proven success leading teams and delivering sustainable improvements in operational performance. • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, continuous improvement and operational excellence principles. • Experience working within Process Safety Management (PSM) environments is strongly preferred. • Strong communication, organizational and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to analyze complex situations, make sound decisions and execute effectively in a dynamic environment. You will get: • Competitive salary and benefits package • The U.S. annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: 127,680 to $159,600. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, qualifications, etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives. • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations • Training platform for all employees • Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological)
