Full Job Description
Production Manager

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager who enjoys leading people while remaining close to the manufacturing process. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine technical process expertise with people leadership to improve safety, reliability, production performance and continuous improvement across our Augusta manufacturing site. Does that sound like you?

About the job

As Production Manager, you will lead the operations team at our Augusta, Georgia site while driving safety, operational excellence, quality, and continuous improvement. You will oversee production performance, develop, and coach production operators, manage departmental budgets, and ensure reliable plant operations through the effective execution of the Operation Asset Management (OAM) process. Because Augusta is a smaller manufacturing site, this is a hands-on leadership role that requires a leader who enjoys being present on the production floor, troubleshooting process issues, supporting operators, and driving technical improvements-not simply managing from an office.

In your future role as Production Manager, you will

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production operators while fostering a strong safety culture and high-performance work environment.
  • Drive Operational Asset Management (OAM) by improving equipment effectiveness, production efficiency, and key operational KPIs.
  • Manage production planning, manufacturing schedules, budgets, inventories, and maintenance coordination to meet customer demand.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, production-related projects, and support capital improvements.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Technical teams to improve manufacturing performance, product quality, and operational reliability.
  • Serve as a member of the Site Leadership Team, supporting strategic planning, process safety, and operational excellence initiatives.

We believe you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related engineering discipline.
  • Experience leading production operations within a chemical or process manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, reactors, process equipment, production parameters, and manufacturing troubleshooting.
  • Experience optimizing plant performance through continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems such as SAP, MES, DeltaV, Microsoft Office, or similar production reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations, process safety, Lean Manufacturing, and project management.

Great if you have

  • Experience with Operation Asset Management (OAM) or Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) programs.
  • Experience working with Management of Change (MOC), Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS), and CAPA processes.
  • Experience leading plant shutdowns, maintenance planning, and cross-functional manufacturing projects.
