Full Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules, quality expectations, safety standards, and customer are achieved.

Lead the planning and prioritization of department activities and resources to maximize throughput, efficiency, labor utilization, and equipment performance.

Manage departmental labor, overtime, scrap, rework, and operating expenses within established budgets.

Monitor operational production metrics including productivity, efficiency, scrap, downtime, utilization, on-time delivery, and product quality. Drive corrective actions and continuous improvements to performance not meeting expectations.

Identify and drive strategic and system level operational improvements to meet business growth objectives.

Promote a proactive health and safety culture by identifying hazards, conducting safety observations, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective actions.

Foster a positive work environment built on teamwork, accountability, communication, respect, and continuous improvement and learning.

Maintain team's adherence and compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), approved manufacturing processes, policies and procedures, and quality management system requirements.

Lead collaboratively with all production support departments to facilitate optimized production schedule, product flow, and timely material and resource availability.

Recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce capable of meeting business growth objectives.

Conduct performance evaluations, establish development plans, provide regular coaching and mentoring, and address performance concerns in a timely and constructive manner.

Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

Education / Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5-7 years of manufacturing experience preferred; previous work in a medical device or aerospace environment desired; minimum of 3 years previous supervisory experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Strong working knowledge in many aspects of operations, quality standards, company policies and procedures as well as FDA/ISO/AS9100 regulatory guidelines and applications.

Proven people leadership skills - ability to coach, mentor, engage and inspire production workforce across multiple shifts.

Ability to drive strategic level improvements to manufacturing operations including supporting manufacturing functions.

Ability to utilize Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Proficient in MRP systems, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.

Strong problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to think independently.

Ability to manage in a contract manufacturing organization. development programs across multiple locations and project teams.

Familiar with the design controls, FDA regulation, and GMP practices, ISO requirements.

Proven track record for project management.
