Four-year degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (20 years) required.
7 years relevant engineering experience, preferably in automotive.
Experience with high volume assembly operations, particularly with Japanese manufacturers.
Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in CAD with minimum AutoCAD experience; SolidEdge, SolidWorks, or CATIA highly preferred.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills essential.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods is a plus.

Education / Work Experience

Background / Skills
Automotive background a must, with preference towards high volume assembly operations. Experience with Japanese transplants will be highly beneficial
Able to manage individual engineers to meet project deadlines
Proven ability to manage multiple projects on a simultaneous basis
Strong troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and time management skills will be essential in this position. Ability to interface at multiple levels and operate within cross-functional teams is critical. Must be able to maintain project records and documentation.
Computer skills (Microsoft Office) are highly preferred
