Summary:
The Production Engineer will be responsible for managing production and continuous improvement projects within the Leaching, Solvent Extraction (SX), and Electrowinning (EW) circuits of a large copper mine. This role focuses on optimizing operational efficiency, reducing costs, ensuring safe work practices, and developing the skills of the production team.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage production-related projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope.
Continuous Improvement: Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance production rates, recoveries, and overall plant performance.
5S Implementation & Maintenance: Champion and ensure adherence to 5S principles within the assigned areas to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Deficiency Analysis & Improvement Planning: Analyze operational deficiencies, identify root causes, and develop effective improvement plans to address them.
Personnel Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs for production personnel to enhance their skills, knowledge, and understanding of operational procedures.
