We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our Production Team. In this hands-on role, you will assemble, inspect, and troubleshoot complex, mission-critical electro-optical systems. What You'll Do- Precision Assembly: Build, align, integrate, and rework complex electro-optical and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and final systems.
- Process Execution: Follow detailed manufacturing work instructions, engineering drawings, schematics, and production schedules with zero-defect mentality.
- Documentation & Compliance: Complete production routers, travelers, inspection records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) accurately and in real-time.
- Tooling & Metrology: Set up and safely operate standard mechanical hand tools, calibrated torque equipment, optical test gear, and precision measuring tools (indicators, height gages, micrometers).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Manufacturing, Optical, and Quality Engineers to troubleshoot hardware anomalies and continuously improve assembly procedures.
- Workplace Standards: Maintain a safe, organized, and contamination-controlled workspace adhering to ESD prevention and 5S standards.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of hands-on experience in precision electro-mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing environment .
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical assembly, torque application, and wire routing/soldering.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and torque gages).
- Ability to life and carry 50 pounds for short periods of time unassisted.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in an AS9100 / ISO 9001 certified quality management environment.
- Active or prior certifications in IPC J-STD-001 (Soldering) and/or IPC-A-610 / IPC/WHMA-A-620.

$37.02-$49.03 USD
