Partnering closely with the VP of Product Management, business stakeholders, and agile delivery teams, this role translates business needs into clear problem statements and well-defined user stories, guiding delivery from discovery through testing, training, and launch.

This role contributes to the creation of functional and/or technical requirements and user interface requirements as needed to support business needs, applying strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support successful delivery of project outcomes.

Success in this role also requires strong organizational skills to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously, the ability to learn new domains and tools quickly, and the agility to think on your feet as priorities shift in a fast-moving, agile environment.

  • Define and maintain product vision, sprint goals, and release plans in partnership with the Product Manager and Scrum Master.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to align priorities and ensure the product vision continues to reflect strategic goals.
  • Drive agile best practices and continuous improvement across product, analytics, and delivery processes.
  • Conduct data analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Monitor industry and mortgage-market trends relevant to the product roadmap.
  • Elicit requirements through interviews, workshops, document analysis, and other discovery methods, distinguishing what users ask for from the underlying problem they need solved.
  • Mediate between business and IT to prioritize competing requirements and establish realistic, reliable delivery schedules.
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines with strong organizational discipline.

Required Experience, Skills, & Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to develop clear problem statements and translate them into well-written user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and workstreams at once.
  • Quick learner who can pick up new domains, tools, and business context rapidly and think on their feet in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong analytical skills - able to critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile differing viewpoints, and abstract from low-level detail to a general understanding of the underlying business need.
  • Solid knowledge of software application development lifecycles, including QA and UAT design and management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
