Full Job Description
We are seeking a Product Owner, Fleet Management & Cloud to support ORT's transition to a value stream-oriented operating model. This role is responsible for execution, backlog ownership, and delivery of ORT's fleet management and cloud software offerings, working in close partnership with engineering teams and the Global Product Manager for this value stream.

This position reports to the Director, Mobile Product Management. The role operates in close partnership with Global Product Managers aligned to the same value stream, with a focus on software execution, Agile delivery, and customer-driven outcomes. This role can be based at any Omron Robotics location in the Americas or Europe.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and maintain the product backlog for Fleet Management & Cloud software, translating roadmap priorities into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Enable Agile value stream teams by directing feature and defect prioritization, collaborating closely with stakeholders to clarify scope, resolve dependencies, and remove delivery blockers.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives alongside software developers and other stakeholders, including the Software Architect.
  • Ensure engineering efforts are aligned to customer workflows, business value, and value stream objectives, not just feature output.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Product Manager to align sprint outcomes to roadmap goals, releases, and commercial priorities.
  • Work with UX, systems engineering, and architecture stakeholders to ensure solutions scale across cloud, IT/OT integration, and customer environments.
  • Participate in customer engagement, feedback loops, and internal demos to ensure validated learning informs backlog priorities.
  • Support release planning, coordination, and internal enablement for Fleet Management & Cloud deployments.
  • Actively identify and remove execution blockers to maintain delivery velocity and product quality.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience working in software product ownership, product management, or Agile delivery roles.
  • Hands-on experience working with Agile development teams in a B2B software environment.
  • Prior experience with cloud-based platforms, enterprise software, or industrial systems.
  • To conform with U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum practices, including backlog management, story writing, and sprint execution.
  • Ability to translate customer and market needs into clear, actionable software requirements.
  • Comfortable making day-to-day tradeoff decisions that balance scope, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across engineering, product, UX, and commercial teams.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and quality.
  • Preferred: Experience with fleet management software, IoT platforms, or IT/OT integration.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with cloud architectures, APIs, and enterprise software deployment models.
  • Preferred: background working in robotics, automation, or industrial technology environments.


The annual salary range for this role is $128,000 - $178,000 a year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
